A 59Ft bespoke portholed trad, built for the current owners in 2006 by Stowe Hill Marine and powered by a Russell Newbery DM2 in dedicated engine room. The traditionally scumbled back cabin is configuired to provide ample storage, office work space and day bed. Forward of the engine room the cabin is fitted in maple to an exacting standard - "Apsley" had a full professional repaint in 2021 by Colin Dundas and is now presented for sale in excellent condition. A fine 70ft traditional narrowboat, the hull being originally comissioned by the owners of Merlin Narrowboats (Braunston) in 2005 and fitted by themselves to an exacting standard for their own use as a comfortable liveaboard. The Gardner 2LW engine is one of approximately 30 built by Gardner throughout the 1990s and was removed from their previous boat and installed in the dedicated engine room. "Caliburnum" features many extras rarely found on boats built today - the hull, for example, has a chined 15mm baseplate making for better handling and easier mooring on the shallower canals. The current owner has fastidiously maintained the boat in excellent condition including a full professional repaint by Andy Russell and now presents her for sale in fine condition even including a full tank of diesel.
