The Chattogram Port Authority has unveiled plans for a new deep-sea terminal designed to accommodate larger container vessels and ease long-standing congestion.
Once complete, the terminal is expected to double annual container throughput and cut vessel waiting times significantly.
The project includes new ship-to-shore cranes, deeper berths and upgraded yard equipment, positioning the port as a regional transshipment hub.
